At Parkwood Church, our mission is simple: we exist to Reach people with the love of Jesus, Disciple them to grow in faith and character, and Send them out to live with purpose in their homes, workplaces, and communities. We believe church isn't just a place you go — it's a family you belong to and a mission you're part of. Whatever season of life you're in, there's a place for you here.
Our Core Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, authoritative Word — the true foundation for how we live, believe, and understand God.
One God, Three Persons
We believe in one God who exists eternally as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God — born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, raised from the dead, and now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us.
Sin and Repentance
New Life in Christ
We believe everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glory, and that repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sin.
We believe that through faith in Jesus' blood, we are justified, made new, and born again into a relationship with God.
Sanctification and Holiness
We believe God calls us to a life set apart — continually shaped and made holy through the Word, the Spirit, and faith in Christ.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience after salvation, with speaking in tongues as its initial evidence — empowering believers for a Spirit-led life.
Water Baptism
We believe those who repent should be baptized in water by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Divine Healing
We believe healing for the body is provided through the atonement of Christ, and we pray boldly for it today.
The Lord's Supper and Footwashing
We believe in observing the Lord's Supper and the washing of feet as acts of remembrance, humility, and unity among believers.
The Second Coming
We believe Jesus will return — first to catch away His Church, and then to reign on the earth.
Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, eternal life for those who follow Christ, and that every person's eternal destiny hinges on their response to Him.
